A collaboration between Has-ki, an 18-year-old rapper active mainly in Fukuoka, and Kinail, a 20-year-old trackmaker who discovers and nurtures emerging artists.

The producer is 20-year-old Kakka, who oversees both artists at their label.

The song is an experiment in creating a distinctive result by combining subtraction and addition: Kinail’s pared-back, universal and simple production, rooted in house, meets densely packed lyrics and verses from an artist whose rap has emphasized its affinity with Vocaloid producers and J-pop.

A fitting summer song, it is intended as a relaxed way to enjoy refreshing beats and a lazy scene of wanting to feel summer, escape everyday life and take some time off.

Kinail

Kinail（キネイル） is a 19-year-old university student. Around 2019, making remixes mainly for SoundCloud and YouTube led to an interest in trackmaking. Now working as a music producer, Kinail handles everything from composition across genres to arrangement and mixing. Released in May 2020 with Osaka singer-songwriter Som, “My Wave” appeared on an official Spotify playlist and was selected as an Editor’s Pick on Taiwan’s StreetVoice, reaching the top 10 of its rising chart.
