Fukuoka-based four-on-the-floor dance-rock band ごつごつのアハン！！ has announced that its debut EP, “はじめてのアハン！！,” will be available from digital music stores through FTZ records on Tuesday, April 7.
The release contains the songs from the CD sold exclusively at “01（ゼロワン）” on Monday, March 23. It includes four tracks, among them “ツーステップディスコ,” which the band has played since its early days. The songs combine the band's distinctive sense of fun with an exhilarating energy that brings youth to mind.
The cover is styled like a collage, mixing plenty of the band's peculiar jokes with the face of vocalist/guitarist ファンファーレ田中.
“ツーステップディスコ” and “ごつごつのアハン！！” are already available in advance on the free music platforms Eggs and SoundCloud, so please give them a listen.

It was tough, but about 5% of it was fun, so I will call that good.

COMMENT FROM FTZ records WRITER i@屋根裏に暮らしたい
A band called “ゴツゴツのアハン”—you really went and picked that name. I will make a prediction: that is something you are definitely going to regret later (laughs). Then I listen to the songs, and they come out with “同世代のバンドみんなすごくいい曲書いてくる” (laughs). This is not the time to be complimenting the other bands (laughs). At first, I find myself thinking it might be a band started by high-school boys with a “We want to do something fun” attitude. But once I start listening, the guitar riffs feel good, and I gradually start feeling happy. Before I know it, I am singing “ゴツゴツのアハン〜♪”. There is an oddly addictive quality to it...
