Spotify has selected ten emerging Japanese artists expected to make a breakthrough for “RADAR: Early Noise 2025.” It will introduce them to music fans in Japan and overseas through playlists, live events, content highlighting their appeal, and collaborative projects.
It has also selected five rising creators shaping the next generation of podcast culture for “RADAR: Podcasters 2025.” By providing recording studios, supporting program events and organizing collaborations, Spotify plans to help these creators reach listeners both on and beyond its platform.

Reflecting musical trends shaped by streaming and social media, RADAR: Early Noise 2025 features ten acts from fields including bands, singer-songwriters and hip-hop, working beyond established boundaries and releasing distinctive music.
Alongside the announcement and official RADAR: Early Noise 2025 playlist, Spotify has released a new episode of “New Music Wednesday [Podcast Edition].” Music concierge ふくりゅう and a representative of Spotify’s music division discuss the selected artists and the appeal of their music.
A RADAR: Early Noise pop-up event is scheduled at OPENBASE SHIBUYA in Tokyo from Friday, February 14 to Sunday, February 16. Visitors can experience the artists’ worlds through listening sessions on Sony’s Spotify Tap™-compatible LinkBuds series and artist introduction panels. Special Spotify collaboration accessories will also be on display.
The first Spotify Early Noise Night of the year, “#17,” will take place at Spotify O-EAST in Shibuya on Wednesday, March 19. AKASAKI, Billyrrom, ブランデー戦記 and レトロリロン have been announced from the 2025 selection, with more performers to be added. Advance tickets go on sale through eplus (https://eplus.jp/enn/) at 16:00 today. The accompanying “Early Noise Night #17” playlist lets listeners explore the performers’ songs ahead of the show.
