ウミアラシ digitally released its debut EP, “HMU,AS I AIR,” on October 21.
The seven-track collection includes band arrangements of “大人になってゆく” and “探検隊の夜唄,” songs that vocalist/guitarist 田中豪 had been performing with a looper; “くだらねぇ,” created with former support members; and “大馬鹿者,” the first song written as ウミアラシ. Including the advance single “碧の青,” the EP brings together performances that reflect each member's musical career and experimental arrangements.
The release is self-produced, with the band handling everything from recording to mastering. Mixing and composition progressed together as the members pursued a cohesive band sound and sound design that reflected each person's ideas.
On November 27, the band will hold “HMU,AS I AIR LIVE 2026” at 曼荼羅 in Kichijoji, with COME FROM TINY and THE FUZZ ACT also appearing. A music video for the EP track “碧の青” is also available.

ARTIST
ウミアラシ
A four-piece band formed in July 2025. Its arrangements draw on the individuality of each member, centered on the melodies of guitarist/vocalist 田中豪. The band creates songs that bring together the diverse musical genres at its members' roots.
Frontman 田中豪 brings his perspective as a teacher to lyrics that evoke the world of student life. A year after forming, the band released its first single, “碧の青.” Following 田中豪's solo years, it was the first recording created by the members together.
Alongside writing music, the band performs live, developing arrangements that make the most of each member's playing.
