About the Artist
luv
Launched in June 2023, luv self-produced their first release, 「Motrr」, drawing on funk R&B and jazz hip-hop. The group began when guitarist/vocalist Hiyn and drummer Sho hit it off through jam sessions while in high school. Bassist Zum was called in at the last minute after a cancellation, traveling from Shiga to play a show in Osaka and becoming part of the group. Keyboardist Rosa, whom they met through a jazz club and regarded as a genius, immediately accepted the invitation to join. DJ Ofeen is a childhood friend of Hiyn and joined because they shared musical tastes. With solid musicianship, the five members create an addictive sound that, together with their distinctive lyrics, sets listeners’ hearts dancing. Before you know it, you will find yourself humming along and turning to the right.
