Fukuoka rock band 奏人心 released their new EP, “kioku no naka,” on September 9. The members are 永松有斗夢 on bass and vocals, 山路あげは on guitar and vocals, and 今橋一翔 on drums.
This guitar-rock release pursues the strength of songs and vocals, bringing the male and female twin vocals to the fore. It also marks a major change in the band’s sound. 山路あげは’s guitar, previously dominated by distortion, now centers on clean tones, with striking riffs, backing parts, and solos. 今橋一翔’s percussive drums, seemingly simple yet changing with each song’s story, form the backbone of the band’s sound. On the second track, “小鳥,” 永松有斗夢 also plays a bass solo, expanding the possibilities of the three-piece format.
The advance digital single, “Ma魔法hou -single version-,” has received airplay on radio stations in the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, and Germany, as well as coverage from several Spanish media outlets. The EP’s opening track, “惑星の呼吸,” has been chosen as the September ending theme for “MUSIC AMP” on Fukuoka’s CROSS FM.
The band has also been confirmed for りんご音楽祭2026, taking place in Matsumoto, Nagano Prefecture, on September 26 and 27. 奏人心 will perform on the 26th, marking their first festival appearance.
Comment from 奏人心
The past has made us and you who we are.
Even if we do not look back on it,
and simply live in the present,
when things are painful and difficult,
as if filling the spaces between breaths,
we hope you will remember.
We put those feelings into this EP!

A whirlwind rock band from Fukuoka, shouting out their anger at the things happening around them through poetic words and forceful beats. Six months after forming, they were featured on Kyushu Asahi Broadcasting’s “高校生のじかん.” They successfully staged a solo show at a live venue and were chosen to provide the program’s theme song. They also performed at the program’s festival, “ハイスク祭のじかん,” at JR Kyushu Hall. The band then won the grand prize at the Fukuoka Prefecture high school light music newcomers’ competition, whose judging panel was chaired by actor and musician 石橋凌, making them a talking point among high school students. They freely express messages about everyday life drawn from the landscapes and experiences at their roots.
