Caldiem., a musical unit consisting of composer and vocalist nil and lyricist and visual creator ichika, released the new single ‘amber effect’ on September 30, 2026.
The track was created around the ‘Proust effect,’ in which a particular scent evokes memories. It portrays the feeling of everyday scents bringing back memories one had tried to forget as a ‘sweet pain.’
Sound production was handled by oi, the solo project of musician, guitarist and producer 大井隆寛. Guitar grooves are layered with trumpet by yuka kawabata, adding color to the world depicted by Caldiem.’s vocals and lyrics.

Rooted in R&B, alternative and lo-fi hip-hop, their songs combine nil’s mellow voice with ichika’s lyrics, blending an abstract world with words that evoke concrete scenes.

The solo project of 大井隆寛, a musician, guitarist and producer. Following work as the guitarist of Deep Sea Diving Club, oi now performs as a supporting musician, produces tracks and writes songs for other artists.
