上野皓平 (ex-The Songbards) released “夏髪が揺れて” on September 30, 2026, his first single since adopting the name CÓHE.
The song depicts memories of a once-in-a-lifetime summer that slipped by with a cherished aspiration seemingly within reach, yet still unattainable. It looks back on a time that will never return, including all its frustration.
The track was developed from the band arrangement performed at the “Silver Lining” release show at Aoyama Tsukimiru Kimi Omou on March 29, 2026. It was recorded after further refinement with the musicians from that show. 阿南智史 handled production and guitar, 礒部智 played bass, and 岡田優佑 played drums.
[Comment from CÓHE]
This is a song about memories of a once-in-a-lifetime summer that passed with something I longed for seemingly within reach, but never quite attainable. It was frustrating, yet that frustration is part of a time that will never come back.
The arrangement we played with the band at my “Silver Lining” release show at Aoyama Tsukimiru Kimi Omou on March 29 this year was so good that we refined it further with those same musicians and went into the recording sessions together.
Before I knew it, autumn had fully arrived.
Please listen with the faint lingering traces of summer!
