Rising singer-songwriter 進藤雨日 released his new single ‘Life (is Circle)’ on January 23.
The song grew from feeling the warmth of human connection, sometimes carrying loneliness, and nevertheless weaving one’s days together—
and realizing that this very act is peace. The unguarded, pure wish held in the simple words ‘大丈夫’—‘It’s okay’—is itself a quiet prayer for someone else’s peace.
Sound production is by his close collaborator Noli Stark, who writes songs for various artists and creates screen scores. Dramatic orchestration that quietly awakens each listener’s memories and feelings, a dense sonic image that lingers, and 進藤’s lyrical words and melodies give this brief, 1-minute-52-second piece a deep sense of story.

進藤雨日 drew attention as the opening act at the 結いのおと 2025 music festival in Ibaraki in April 2025, and remains an artist to watch.
A comment from 進藤雨日
While struggling with the lyrical theme, I had an opportunity to reflect on what peace means.
Feeling connected to people, feeling lonely, and somehow weaving each day together.
As I felt that protecting this very act was what peace truly meant to me,
while working on the song, I began to think that perhaps I could wish for peace for someone other than myself—a thought that came simply, but sincerely.
I cannot say anything grand. Just one phrase: ‘It’s okay.’
Into this song, I put a wish that is, in a sense, one-sided and irresponsible, yet the most honest wish deep in my heart.
And I would be happy if it could be a song that serves as a protective charm for everyone who listens.
