Singer Sala, known for her R&B- and hip-hop-based style and clear singing voice, and 熊井吾郎, who continues to work as an MPC player and beatmaker, have released “Airplane Letter,” their first collaboration in five years.

The song depicts a farewell that begins at an airport, a hometown receding into the distance, and feelings faced honestly for the first time up in the sky. Its lyrics repeatedly portray memorable phrases such as 「泣かないでよFather and Mother」 and the regret of leaving without saying 「ありがとう」, creating a structure that overlaps with each listener's own memories.

As the words “Tokyo to worldwide” suggest, it is a personal story that also contains a universal theme for anyone pursuing a dream and venturing out into the world. A determination to move forward despite loneliness and regret. The love and gratitude discovered along the way. The song carries a quiet yet powerful message that gently encourages people standing at a turning point in life.

A music video filmed in Australia was also released at 8 p.m. on May 20.
