Snive, the solo project of music producer 山下雄太, will release “Re,” an EP featuring remixes and re-edits of three previously released tracks, on Wednesday, October 14, 2026.
The EP reconstructs songs from the album “As if it were recent,” released in July 2026. Its title, “Re,” comes from “Remix / Re-edit” and represents this collection of reworked tracks.
The remix of “Lights feat. Cuushe” is by DJ 知久豊 (Yutaka Chiku), who runs BALKANBEATS TOKYO and blends Balkan music—the traditional music of Eastern Europe—with electronic beats. The remix transforms the original’s floating approach into a danceable sound incorporating elements of jungle Dutch and reggaeton.
For his own re-edit of “Paella,” Snive rebuilds the original, which centers on sampled strings, as a breakbeat-driven track. His self-remix of “Kimi no te” introduces an electronic sound built around repeating sequences. The cover model is 鈴木Mob., photographed by 石本一人旅.
