Music event KAZANE has launched the ‘KAZANE - 2nd Anniversary -’ anniversary series to mark its second year. Its first installment, ‘episode.1,’ will take place at 神楽音 in Tokyo on Saturday, October 3, 2026.


Alongside valknee as SPECIAL GUEST LIVE and Gokou Kuyt as GUEST LIVE, the event brings together live acts including mezz and Cuffboi, plus DJs, VJs, pop-ups and a wide range of other participants. With a concept of ‘a musical experience unconstrained by genre that can only emerge on that day, in that place,’ it will create a space where music meets many different cultures.


‘episode.1’ opens this second-anniversary milestone and is the first installment in an anniversary series that will continue beyond it.

A rapper and artist based in Tokyo, working independently and producing her own work. She began her music career in 2019, released her first album Ordinary in April 2024, and immediately sold out her first solo show at Shibuya WWW that May. She has continued an energetic run of releases, with her second album Gear in February 2026 and the EP Le Tombeau de valknee in May. Without being signed to an agency or label, she maintains one of the strongest presences in Japan and is a leading artist in the contemporary Japanese-language rap scene.

Gokou Kuyt

Born in 1997, he began working mainly on SoundCloud around 2017 and attracted early attention within the music industry, including having one of his tracks selected for Canadian DJ and producer Ryan Hemsworth's ‘10 recent favorite tracks.’ His distinctive sensibility, shaped by the cultures of Nakano and Koenji and a wide variety of subcultures, and his down-to-earth lyrics have earned him strong support from teenagers. He released his debut EP SHAWTY CALLIN' in 2019. In recent years, his appearance on Red Bull RASEN and collaborations with emerging artists such as XY GENE, Minchanbaby & RhymeTube, kim taehoon and gummyboy have also drawn attention, and a new release is now eagerly awaited.
