Singer-songwriter Laiqa digitally released the single ‘246’ on March 11, 2026. Featuring sound production by Ryo Eguchi, it is ‘an urban pop song that turns even uncertainty into the energy of liberation’; its music video is also out. A solo show at Tsukimiru Kimiosou has also been announced for May 23.
In a world full of change and uncertainty, ‘246’ depicts the act of affirming the choices one makes. This anthem treats even dead ends and detours as meaningful experiences, turning uncertainty itself into energy for moving forward. A grounded band sound coexists with airy arrangements, sensitively expressing inner turmoil and the determination to advance. Sound producer Ryo Eguchi’s sophisticated urban arrangements further bring out Laiqa’s candid words.
The music video was directed by Wataru Okada (stacks). Layering cityscapes with emotional movement, it gives visual depth to the song’s theme of choice and freedom.

I wrote the song itself around 2024, but as time passed and different people added their energy to it, it has now helped me feel lighter. Even if something tries to make us move in orderly patterns, we should still be able to find freedom within ourselves and live there. It is an anthem that turns even uncertainty into the energy of liberation, and a song I love! I would be happy if you listened to it a lot!

Born on October 30, 2005, in Tokyo. During high school, she began immersing herself in music after losing her sense of belonging amid anxiety and loneliness and feeling that she wanted to create a new world, at least inside her heart. Her YouTube cover of m-flo’s ‘come again’ caught many people’s attention. She began her career with the release of her first single, ‘良い方に運命が’, on November 26, 2025. In March 2026, she digitally released her second single, ‘246’, produced by Ryo Eguchi.
