Nagoya-based singer-songwriter ヒラウチマイ released the debut full-length album ‘さかさまの窓’ on CD and digital platforms on September 30, 2026.
Created around the theme of ‘changing perspective,’ the album continues the story begun with the advance single ‘でんぐりがえし.’ Its eleven tracks revisit childhood landscapes, past memories, encounters and partings. Centered on indie rock, the album incorporates electric guitar and violin.
This is the artist’s first CD to receive nationwide distribution. A release concert will take place at Kanayama Brazil Coffee in Nagoya on October 2, followed by a planned in-store event at Tower Records Higashiura on October 31.

My first album, ‘さかさまの窓,’ takes a step into unfamiliar musical experiences.
Centered on chamber pop and indie pop, its eleven tracks depict childhood memories and everyday scenes.
Things I saw with my own eyes, things I touched, events that moved me. These songs portray each of them with the feeling of making sketches, as though observing myself.
‘Changing perspective’ is a theme I have continued to sing about since the advance single ‘でんぐりがえし.’ The things I loved as a child, the things I treasured. As I followed those memories and continued my journey to find words, I felt something like a breeze passing through, and the title ‘さかさまの窓’ was born.
During the making of the album, I looked back on the childhood that shaped me. I think my feelings were freer and more honest when I was a child. I filled the words and sounds with the things I found there: ‘things I loved’ and ‘things I treasure.’
Memories of the past still remain in my heart. Regret and uncertainty are part of life, but I would be happy if this album could give people who feel anxious about the path they have taken the strength to move toward tomorrow.

A singer-songwriter from Nagoya who began performing in 2020. Influenced by Black music such as jazz and R&B while a student, ヒラウチマイ writes lyrics, composes and arranges original music. With honest lyrics and catchy melodies, the artist creates delicate songs and performs in a range of formats, including solo, duo and band sets.
