‘Pure’ is a mid-tempo song depicting ordinary days with a partner and the wish to cherish and nurture that relationship just as it is now. MALIL's delicate vocals meet a clear, airy sound and a memorable pop melody, creating an intimate, gentle sense of time.
The lyrics describe the desire to know the other person more deeply as 「解像度高め」, the straightforwardness of their relationship as 「透明度高め」, and warmth that never cools as 「体温も高め」. Using contemporary language, the song carefully captures, in down-to-earth words, a universal wish to keep loving someone, awkwardness and uncertainty included. The phrases 「2年後も今みたいにピュアなまま」 and 「病めるときもそばにいて」 carry a small but heartfelt wish to feel the same way after many more days together, rather than making a grand promise of eternity.
