Ryo Yoshinaga releases the single “浮かばれたいねサタデー” digitally on December 6, 2023 (Wed.).
Described by the artist as “ennui pop,” the song’s lyrics collect words that spilled out like sighs during days when nothing seemed to go right. While singing of the vaguely unfulfilled feelings that everyone carries, the track carefully balances lightness and groove, resulting in an addictive song that invites repeated listening.
Keyboardist and arranger ハナブサユウキ handles the composition and arrangement. Listen also to the soulful vocals, which move in a gradient from a murmur to a powerful declaration of inner feelings.
The cover was designed by Ryo Yoshinaga. Its pop-styled visual expression of emotions wavering between “what I have to do” and “what I want to do” adds another dimension to the song.
Beyond the work as a singer-songwriter, Ryo Yoshinaga continues to expand into backing vocals and other situations where a “voice” is needed.
Attention is turning to what comes next.

LYRICS
