Singer-songwriter Kaco will release “frisson” on October 28, the third new single in a series of releases over three consecutive months.
The song is a love song addressed to a couple’s former selves, recalled unexpectedly in the quiet of everyday life. Holding both treasured days and the sadness of loss, it comes to terms with having met someone and with the self who loved that person. Piano, acoustic guitar, and ambient sounds reminiscent of a dry breeze on a clear autumn day depict a tenderness toward the very act of loving, discovered after letting go.
The arrangement is by singer-songwriter and home-recording musician 碧海祐人, with recording and mixing by 丸山武蔵. Graphic designer 山口崇多 created the artwork.
Kaco will also hold solo headline shows in Tokyo: a SOLO SET on November 8 and a BAND SET on March 27, 2027. The venue for the BAND SET show is scheduled to be announced on November 8.

Kaco
A singer-songwriter from Ehime Prefecture who began composing at the age of 15. In 2016, Kaco released the mini-album “影日和（かげびより）,” featuring Kan Sano and available exclusively at live venues, followed by three more mini-albums.
In October 2023, Kaco released “アンノウンの色彩,” the theme song for the anime “川越ボーイズ・シング.” 角田隆太 of モノンクル arranged the coupling track “少年アルファ.” In 2024, Kaco released “reboot,” “SAIL,” and “FOOL.ヒマラヤ” over three consecutive months, followed that autumn by the debut album “SOiL SENSOR,” produced by 小西遼 (CRCK/LCKS, 象眠舎). Kaco’s expression has expanded from a sound centered on city pop to organic, electronic pop.
